Sorry to My Religious Followers…

The mere fact that at a science versus faith debate a religious sympathizer must first describe to the audience what kind of God he wishes to defend is proof enough that God is a subjective if not entirely personally fabricated idea. For example, the religious man must claim which God he wants to defend in terms of his religion. He then must explain which God he believes in, the first cause God, whose only job was to start the universe rolling some 14 billion years ago, or rather the interventionist God who listens to prayers, answers some of them and ignores others and who cares deeply about each and every one of His followers, so deeply in fact that no other human love can be compared. This is a ridiculous idea and almost not worth the energy of convincing people otherwise, except for the fact that the overwhelming majority of humans living on Earth believe in such wild ideas. Even more than the vast following that faith achieves is the stunting effect it has had on scientific progress not to mention the religious cleansing and genocides waged against opposing members of faith ad infinitum…
